Jenifer's areas of expertise include employment law, civil, business and probate litigation, probate administration, including guardianships and conservatorships, special education advocacy and appeals, and intellectual property, including licenses, trademarks and copyright.
Work for Clients
Jenifer advises privately owned, closely held, family owned and non-profit businesses on employment related matters, including hiring, wage issues, leave issues, employee classification, discrimination and termination. She also drafts and reviews employment contracts and restrictive covenant agreements, including non-compete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, and confidentiality agreements. Auditing employment documents and employment practices is a large part of her practice. She has successfully represented business clients before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Division of Unemployment Assistance, Department of Revenue, Division of Professional Licensure and Department of Labor.
On behalf of individuals, estates, corporations, partnerships and non-profit organizations, Jenifer has successfully handled litigation matters involving real estate, business contracts, partnership disputes, consumer protection, will contests and employment related claims. She has successfully tried many cases before the Superior and Probate Courts in Massachusetts, and argued before the Appeals Court several times. She has also practiced before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Jenifer also successfully resolves disputes through negotiation, mediation and arbitration.
Jenifer practices in the area of special education, advocating on behalf of students to ensure they receive a free and appropriate education as required under the law. She helps develop appropriate Individual Education Plans, attends TEAM meetings, and if necessary, represents parents and students before the Bureau of Special Education Appeals.
Jenifer is a frequent lecturer and speaker on various employment law topics. She also is hired to conduct training sessions and seminars for businesses to instruct owners and their staff how to handle various employment law issues in the workplace.
Jenifer currently serves on the Board of Directors at the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on the Board of Directors at South Shore Stars. She is also active in political campaigns, including as Treasurer for a State Representative’s campaign committee.
Jenifer was selected as a 40 under 40 Awardee by South Shore Stars, which is an award given to emerging leaders on the South Shore who are under 40.

Jenifer lives in East Bridgewater with her husband, Brian, and their two children, Braden and Makenna. She spends most of her time in hockey rinks and at baseball fields on the weekends watching her children participate in extracurricular activities. She is a committed Boston sports fan, and loves watching and attending games. She is a former gymnast and professional cheerleader and brings the same level of enthusiasm and commitment to her legal work.
